Our Vision

Our vision here at Zion Baptist Church can best be summarized by three words:
We want to reach people with the gospel of Jesus, teach them to be committed mature followers of Christ, and then unleash them to use their gifts to serve the body and reach the world. We believe this is the call and commission Jesus gave His church in Matthew 28:19-20. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all the things that I have commanded you.”

In this passage called the great Commission, Jesus says,
1.) Reach people with the Gospel.
2.) Teach them how to be mature followers.
3.) Unleash them to fulfill the great commission as well.

We believe there are a couple of ways to be on mission with us here at Zion. The first way is to join us each week for worship services either at 8:00 or 10:30. Also, in order to help disciple you, we find it necessarily important to be involved in one of our small groups on Sundays and Wednesdays to better connect with each other. To help unleash you to use your gifts, we provide many opportunities to serve on campus every Sunday, such as greeting, children’s ministry, ushering, and more. Another way is to help fund the mission through financial giving. The Bible says in Malachi 3:10 "Bring the full tenth into the storehouse so that there may be food in my house. Test me in this way,” says the Lord of Armies. “See if I will not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out a blessing for you without measure."
