Mike was raised in a pastor’s family in south Georgia.  He trusted Jesus to be his savior during his junior year of high school and felt God’s call to ministry shortly after. 

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies from Brewton-Parker College in 2005, and then a Master of Arts in Evangelism and Church Growth from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2008. Prior coming to Zion, he has served as a student pastor, worship pastor and senior pastor in churches in Alabama and Georgia over 20 years of ministry.

Mike is married to Molly and they have twin boys, Michael and Jeremiah, and one girl, GraceAnne.
