Student Ministry

ZBC Kids

Mission statement: REACH preschool and elementary aged children with the gospel message, TEACH them the truths of God’s Word, and UNLEASH them into their communities to tell others of the love of Jesus.

Sunday Connect Classes (Sunday School) are provided for infants through 4th grade.  Our curriculum, The Gospel Project, is a Christ-centered chronological Bible study which helps our children navigate through God’s Word.  Our teachers are excited to teach the children and use creative teaching styles to help engage all learners.

Wednesdays are exciting for ZBC Kids!  Our Kindergarten through 4th grade children meet together in the Kid’s Worship Center for songs, hands-on activities, multi-media presentations, and challenging Bible lessons. The lessons come from the The Gospel Project curriculum and intentionally expand on the lesson from the previous Sunday.  We focus on heart transformation through experiencing Christ and His love, using Romans 12:2 as our guide.

We also have classes especially designed for preschoolers.  Our 4 and 5 year old children meet in the Cubbies’ class, and our 2 and 3 year old children meet in the Puggles’ class.  They learn about God’s love through Bible stories, songs, puppets, and hands-on activities.

Throughout the year, ZBC Kids will enjoy seasonal events, such as Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentine activities.  Summer will bring opportunities for participating in VBS, camp, and service events.

ZBC Gap

God's appointed preteens

The Gap Ministry was established at Zion Baptist in August 2020 with the vision of reaching fifth and sixth graders with the gospel message and discipling them through their spiritual journey.  The mission of the Gap Ministry is to REACH fifth and sixth graders with the gospel message, TEACH them the truths of God’s Word, and UNLEASH them into their communities to tell others about the love of Jesus.  The leadership team consists of adults who have a passion and love for this age group.

Gap meets on Sunday mornings at 9:15am and Wednesday nights at 6:00pm in the Gap Room, which is located on the second floor of the gymnasium.

On Sunday mornings we use The Gospel Project curriculum, which is a Christ-centered chronological Bible study that helps our preteens navigate through God’s Word.

ZBC Students

ZBC Student Ministry is aimed at helping our 7th-12th Graders grow as “Disciples that make Disciples.” We want to help students ‘Know Jesus, Own their faith, and then Make Him Known.” Ultimately, we believe that our Students are to be active in the mission of Zion. We want these young men and women to “REACH, TEACH, and UNLEASH” alongside the other ministry areas in our body. We aim to do this through:

+ Connect Classes – Small Group Bible Study every Sunday Morning at 9:15 am

+ Wednesday Nights – Large Group Games, Worship, Fellowship, and Teaching at 6:00 pm

+ Small Groups – In depth studies aimed at certain age groups of guys and girls offered at various times throughout the year.

+ Mission Trips – Opportunities throughout the year to serve others in the name of Jesus

+ Retreat & DNOW – Special Weekends filled with themed Bible Study and lots of fun
